The National Collegiate Safety Science and Engineering Practical and Innovative Works Competition is a prestigious national-level contest jointly organized by the Teaching Steering Committee for Safety Science and Engineering of the Ministry of Education, the National Academic Conference Committee on Safety Science and Engineering for College Students, the Society for Science and Technology of Public Safety, and the China Occupational Safety and Health Association. The competition is designed to foster college students’ practical engineering skills, innovation capabilities, and teamwork spirit.
The National College Students’ Energy-Saving and Emission-Reduction Social Practice and Science & Technology Competition is a prestigious innovation and social practice event for university students in China, organized by the National Organizing Committee under the guidance of the Teaching Steering Committee for Energy and Power of the Ministry of Education. As one of the most influential competitions in Chinese higher education, it focuses on key national priorities such as the “Dual Carbon” (carbon peaking and carbon neutrality) strategy. With strong support from the Ministry of Education and active participation from universities across the country, the competition has developed into a high-level platform for fostering student innovation and hands-on ability, featuring broad participation, significant impact, and a wealth of high-quality projects.

The study of mathematics as its own subject may have started with Pythagoras, but people have been counting as a necessity of everyday life for tens of thousands of years. It follows that mathematics was invented to help us understand and manage the world around us. COMAP’s international modeling contest opportunities at the middle school, high school, and undergraduate levels challenge students to form, organize, and manage a team to model and solve a real-world application problem and present a solution report. In addition, such contests provide an experience in which students develop interpersonal skills through teamwork, develop technical writing and communication skills, feel a sense of accomplishment, and earn an impressive resume credential.
Challenge Cup is the abbreviation of the “Challenge Cup” National College Students’ Science and Technology Competition, a national extracurricular academic and practical competition for college students co-sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the All-China Federation of Universities. There are two parallel programs under the Challenge Cup series in China: the “Challenge Cup” National Extracurricular Academic and Technological Works Competition for College Students and the “Challenge Cup” China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Plan Competition. These two national competitions are held alternately, with each program taking place once every two years.
These include: outstanding student leaders, outstanding students, etc. at the school level, and awards at the school level for competitions such as Internet+.
